ISO 26000, Guidance on social responsibility, is an international standard that provides guidance on corporate social responsibility (CSR). As it is a voluntary guidance standard, it does not contain requirements like other ISO standards, therefore, cannot be certified.
This standard can only be used as a statement of intention. Using it to perform audits or conformity tests would be misuse of this international standard. Instead, it provides organizations with guidance on how to improve their impact on environment and communities by practicing social responsibility.
