ISO 45001 is an International standard for management systems of occupational health and safety. It replaced OHSAS 18001 on March 2018. It contains everything included in the OHSAS 18001 standard but with proactive solutions to the risks to promote a healthy work environment.
It is a structured framework that specifies requirements to develop, maintain and improve a management system to reduce workplace injuries and to protect and promote physical and mental health.
This certification is not an obligation by law but organizations acquire it to provide safe and healthy work environment to their employees.
